After major maintenance or replacement of critical components, the burner must be treated as if it is being put back into operation.

Pre-start check

Mechanical connections, electrical wiring, interlocks, valve positions, and the condition of core safety systems are verified.

First ignition

Start gas, flame stability, and flame signal are checked.

Adjustment across the load range

O₂, CO₂, CO, flue gas temperature, and gas pressure are measured at low, medium, and high fire.

Safety checks

Correct operation of key interlocks and the shutdown sequence is verified.

Final documentation

All final settings and measurements are recorded as a new baseline for future service.
