What it means when the RCD trips

Usually there is a current leakage to ground, moisture, a faulty appliance, or insulation damage in a line.

Initial check

Turn off the individual circuit breakers and reset the RCD. Then, turn the lines back on one by one until the fault occurs again.

If the problematic line is found

Disconnect the appliances on that specific line and repeat the check. If the RCD continues to trip, the problem is likely in the wiring or in fixed equipment.

Attention

Never bypass the RCD to keep the installation running.
