Why different types exist

Modern electronic devices do not always create simple alternating leakage current. That is why there are different types of RCDs.

Type AC

Detects mainly pure alternating leakage current.

Type A

Detects alternating and pulsating DC leakage current that may arise from electronic devices.

Types F and B

Used for more complex loads, such as inverters, power converters, and special applications.

Important

The selection must be made according to the equipment and installation requirements.
