Every meter has a specific flow range within which it can measure accurately. The Qmax indication describes the maximum flow for which it is designed.
What is Qmax?
It is the maximum operating flow of the meter within its specifications.
What happens if it is exceeded?
Pressure drop may increase, accuracy may decrease, and the meter may be subjected to stress.
Qmax is not enough on its own
For proper selection, the minimum flow, operating pressure, and expected load variation must also be considered.
Practical significance
The total maximum consumption of all appliances must be within the capacity of the meter and the rest of the network.
