What is an SPD

A Surge Protective Device limits sudden surges that can occur from lightning phenomena or switching in the electrical grid.

What it can protect

• Electronic devices.
• PLCs and inverters.
• Televisions and computers.
• Automation systems.

What it does not do

It does not replace the residual current device (RCD) and does not protect against simple overload.
