Many heat pumps require a minimum water volume in the system to operate stably.
Why it is needed
Sufficient water volume limits rapid temperature changes and reduces frequent start-stops.
Multiple zones
When many fan coils or floor heating loops are closed, the active volume of the circuit can be significantly reduced.
Relationship with buffer tank
If the physical volume of the network is insufficient, a buffer tank of appropriate capacity can be used.
Manufacturer verification
The required minimum amount of water is not the same for all units and must be obtained from the technical manual.
