What are overvoltage and undervoltage

Overvoltage occurs when the voltage rises above the permissible limits. Undervoltage occurs when it falls below normal.

What problems do they cause

  • Damage to electronic boards.
  • Difficulty starting motors.
  • Overheating.
  • Unpredictable resets in PLCs and electronics.

How protection is provided

With a voltage monitor that disconnects the load when the voltage goes out of bounds and reconnects it once it stabilizes.

Where is it useful

In homes with sensitive devices, in industrial machinery, refrigeration systems, and automation.
