Fixed natural gas detectors operate continuously and can trigger alarms, ventilation, ESD, or supply shut-off valves.
First alarm level
Usually used for warning and activating specific actions according to the facility's safety logic.
Second alarm level
At a higher concentration, stricter action may be required, such as supply shut-off or equipment trip.
Interlocks
The gas detection panel can send signals to PLCs, BMS, fans, and emergency shut-off valves.
Fail-safe operation
The logic must account for what happens if power, communication, or a sensor signal is lost.
Testing
It is not enough to check only the sensor. It must be confirmed that the alarm also triggers the correct downstream actions.
