What we measure
We measure the resistance of the windings to check if the three phases exhibit similar behavior.
What a large difference means
- Possible poor connection.
- Partial winding interruption.
- Terminal problem.
- Internal failure.
Important
Resistance measurement alone is not sufficient to confirm that the motor insulation is in good condition.
