Manual reset solenoid valves are used in applications where, after a safety event, the gas supply must not be restored automatically. Human confirmation is required before the valve returns to its operating state.
What does manual reset mean
After a shutdown due to an alarm or the activation of a safety system, the valve remains closed. Even if the power supply returns, it will not open automatically until the required reset procedure is performed.
Where it is used
It can be used for central gas shut-off, leak detection systems, boiler rooms, or facilities where a deliberate reset is required after an alarm.
Why it does not reset
Possible causes include an active alarm, lack of the correct voltage, mechanical jamming, insufficient pressure, or a failure in the reset mechanism.
Correct control logic
Before performing a reset, it must be confirmed that the cause of the shutdown has been resolved. Resetting without diagnosis may lead to the recurrence of the same alarm.
Maintenance
Mechanical movement, power supply, leak-tightness, and correct shut-off operation should be checked. Tasks must follow the manufacturer's instructions and installation regulations.
