What is a Soft Starter
A Soft Starter reduces current and mechanical stress during motor start-up by gradually increasing voltage.
When to use it
- In pumps.
- In fans.
- In conveyor belts.
- In applications where a smoother start-up is required.
What it does not do
It does not continuously regulate speed like an inverter. Its primary role is to ensure a smooth start and, in certain applications, a smooth stop.
