What is PWM
PWM is a pulse signal used to send speed or power commands to the circulator.
What is 0–10 V
It is an analog voltage signal. The voltage corresponds to a specific speed or flow command.
Why they are used
The boiler or heat pump can dynamically adjust the flow rate according to the load.
Common problems
- Severed signal cable.
- Wrong type of control.
- Incorrect polarity.
- Incompatibility between controller and circulator.
Example
If the circulator stays permanently at very low speeds even when there is demand, check the control signal before assuming a mechanical failure.
Important
Electrical measurements must be performed in accordance with the manual and by properly qualified personnel.
