The buffer tank can be connected in different ways, and each configuration affects flow and temperature differently.

In series

The entire flow passes through the tank. This arrangement mainly increases the total water volume.

Parallel or four-pipe

The tank acts as a hydraulic decoupling point between the primary and secondary circuits.

Selection

The correct configuration depends on whether the goal is only to increase inertia or to also achieve hydraulic separation.
