Anti-cycling control and minimum compressor off-time: why they protect the compressor

Frequent starts and stops increase the mechanical and electrical stress on the compressor.

Minimum off-time

After shutdown, the controller can enforce a minimum waiting time before allowing a new start.

Anti-cycling

This logic limits frequent start-stop cycles when the load is low or the hydraulic system has a small volume.

Frequent cycling

It may indicate oversizing, insufficient water volume, incorrect setpoints, or problematic zoning.

Correct approach

Do not bypass the anti-cycling time. Identify the actual cause of the frequent starts.
