Low loss header: what does low loss header mean

The low loss header has a very low internal flow velocity to minimize interaction between the primary and secondary circuit.

Low velocity

It reduces the differential pressure inside the header and allows the two circulators to operate almost independently.

Advantage

The heat pump maintains the required flow rate even if the building zones change.

Caution

Incorrect sizing can increase mixing and alter temperatures.
