When the primary circuit sends more water than the secondary circuit requires, part of the flow returns through the hydraulic separator.

Result

Part of the hot water may return to the heat pump without passing through the terminals.

Effect

The return temperature may increase and the ΔT of the pump may decrease.

Diagnosis

The behavior is evaluated through flow and temperature measurements at all four connections of the separator.
