The high-pressure switch monitors whether the gas pressure exceeds the permissible limit downstream of the regulator or at the setpoint defined by the manufacturer.

What happens during overpressure

The safety circuit can interrupt operation to protect the valves, the burner, and the combustion process.

Relationship with the regulator

The pressostat does not regulate pressure. It simply monitors whether it remains within safe limits.

Relationship with monitor and slam-shut

In larger installations, it can act as an additional layer of protection along with other devices.

Adjustment

The setpoint is not increased to "stop the trips." First, the root cause of the overpressure must be identified.
