What is a multimeter

The multimeter is an essential instrument for testing electrical circuits. It measures voltage, resistance, and conductor continuity.

What we can check

  • If there is voltage in a line.
  • If a conductor is broken.
  • If a fuse or contact has continuity.
  • If there is high resistance in a connection.

Important

For resistance or continuity measurements, the circuit must be de-energized and safely isolated.
