What the main switch does
The main switch isolates the entire panel or a large part of the installation.
When inspection is needed
- When it gets hot.
- When it does not lock correctly.
- When sparks are heard.
- When blackening appears on the terminals.
Why it is serious
A poor contact at the main switch can cause overheating and voltage drops throughout the entire installation.
