Proper zone control is critical because fan coils and underfloor heating have different response speeds.
Fan coils
They react quickly and can be controlled via thermostat, fan speed, and water valve.
Underfloor heating
It has greater thermal inertia. Very frequent setpoint changes usually do not offer better comfort.
Many closed zones
If many valves close simultaneously, the total flow rate may drop below the heat pump's threshold.
Correct logic
The automation must coordinate thermostats, circulators, and the heat pump to ensure sufficient flow at all times.
