24 VDC Power Supply in the panel – how to tell if it is starting to fail

Symptoms

• PLC restarts.
• Relays flicker.
• Sensors give incorrect signals.
• Voltage drops under load.

Check

Measure the voltage without load and during normal operation. If the voltage is correct without load but drops when loads are connected, check both the power supply and the 24 VDC branches.
